Super Columbine Massacre- Colubine Highschool massacre Game

Postby bomba on Sat Sep 23, 2006 5:46 pm

I saw this "game" available for download today and it just sickened me.

I mean who in their right mind would even think of writing a game based on this atrocity.

Needless to say due to the comments to the host (including mine)of the site the link closed , but im sure there is more out there.

Family and friends or people in general need not be reminded of this let alone a little dodgy game be produced about it. It was just a little flash/java game but still with the censors crapping on about mindless violence we as gamers do not need mindless games about abhorent acts upon humanity.

Some said in the forum against my post "what about ppl getting killed in ww1 or 2 sims/fps?, my grandfather couldve been one of them"

My response was well they served their country, with honour" not just by some adolescents upon a whim of death, destruction and dishonour murdering innocent ppl, just because of their chemical imbalanced minds.

sorry but it really pisses me off retard :games factory kiddies doin this shit.

Internet is internet and will stay that way. Hell there is even a JFK assisination stimulator out there im sure there are even more games we dont know about which are out there about various disasters and school shootouts. If you search long enough im sure you could uncover quite an bit of games evolving around the school shootouts or other tradegical things in history.
Sig goes here.

While yes, its crude and harsh. But if you want to shut down one game because of mindless violence, your going to have to shut down quite a whole list of games that you might have enjoyed otherwise.

You feel offended by a few snot noses who made a crappy game based on a violent theme. Many people feel offended by big companies that sell games with much more mindless violence in them to a much larger audience (Postal, Grand Theft Auto, etc...).

When you look at the bigger picture of what you are saying, you are arguing about what gamers around the world are trying to defend. Hello Bomba Thompson.

I'm not saying this Columbine game is doing the right thing, but I'm sure most of you will understand what I'm trying to say here.

hey shadow i understand what ur gettin @ but dont compare me to Thompson mate im far from it. I think ur misinterpretting what im saying.

Im sayin stupid games like these which are based on real life events like these 2 fuktards that feature in this "game". There are in-game screen-captured shots of them in-game of talkin about what there gonna do. Now this may bring offense to some ppl.

People will always search for things to be offended about. This is no argument to ban a game. I remember a long time ago people were disgusted by carmageddon. The game was awesome though.

Oh, right, ahaha, I remember that shit about carmageddon.

That was ages ago.

And who said the JFK game is distasteful? It's fun, well-made and in a lot of ways historically accurate.

Who would right it? Someone who either thought it would be an interesting thing to PLAY or (more likely) someone who thought it would be funny to get people upset over a video game.

I hate this 'be reminded of' logic. First, they'll be continuously reminded of it anyway... in ways much more subtle than a video game. Second, you still ignore the WW2/1 games. Yeah, they were fighting for their country... but you can also fight as the enemy.

People can make games about whatever the hell they please. In NO way should a media outlet be shutdown because you fuind it distasteful. If you find it distatesful, don't play/buy it. People only do stuff like this for 3 reasons
1) they think the game is fun
2) they want to make money
3) they want to get attention

If it's 1, good for them. If it's 2 or 3, your attention just fuels them.

I'm offended that you said 'fu*tards'... I'm calling your ISP.

Well it gets my goat that the people who made this game want 'acceptance' for games, but people opposed to game violence are using this as a prime example of why there should be tighter legislation on what is allowed. They're stupid and I don't see the point in creating a game based on real shockingly violent events that already strike such a chord with people.

Say what you want, I agree with bomba. This hits a lot closer to home than things like WWII or JFK. This type of thing only fuels the fires on anti-video game freaks.

It's really all about taste. There are lines between CSS style killing, which isn't based around any one thing, and killing or any of that kind based around historical events

Not that I stand by Columbine, that's just horrid, but I don't see the huff over JFK Reloaded (possibly because I'm not American, or wasn't alive at the time)
