sv_lan 0 in the console, or make an auto.exec and add sv_lan 0 in the command list.

common it can't be that hard

file = autoexec.cfg

path= "steam/steamapps/username/source dedicated server/platform/cfg/autoexec.cfg"

In the autoexec.cfg you should add sv_lan 0 then save it. (editing in notepad)

BTW I could be wrong with the path, try "steam/steamapps/username/source dedicated server/hl2mp (or css/dod)/cfg/autoexec.cfg"

If its on your LAN, Local Area Network, you have to connect by the lan IP... which is the 192.168.1.1 start. You will ALWAYS see that IP from your browser. Get your real ip (search google it takes 10 seconds).

If you want others to join, you have to give them YOUR IP. That is not your lan ip. And your router has to be setup correctly, and port 2015 forwarded to your IP.

http://www.srcds.com Should help you get some basics.
