Is Saddam the only war criminal in the modern world

Postby Superdeer on Fri Feb 09, 2007 4:30 pm

In hind sight what about Tony Blair and George W Bush, in thier own rights they have commited war crimes.

Saddam got hung because of killing thousands of Kurdish civillains. And many other things, but what about Tony and George.

In total the war in Iraq has killed thousands of civillians. The war in Iraq has also seen Iraq loose its oil to the big buisnesses in the UK and US, sold out by the politions that swore Iraq would keep its oil.

Saddam invaded kuwait, and the first gulf war started. Tony Blair and George Bush invaded Iraq under false infomation and documents full of spin. Even the UN said the war in Iraq was unjustified and many other Country's did in the EU.

So to the point do you think Saddam was the only war criminal in the modern world.

Might makes right and the victor writes the history. That simple, there is no good and evil, right or wrong.

Beside what can you say if and when Iraq becomes a secular and democratic nation, working with the worlds other nations for trade and peace. Who can say they were wrong then, how would that not be better than before.

For years and years, exiled Iraqis have been asking for help to over throw Saddam, any excuse was a good excuse for them.

I am not saying I like what happened anymore than you, but it has happen and now it needs finished. Regular Iraqis need deserve peace and freedom.

The difference between Blair, Bush and Hussain is that Hussain killed his own people, as you highlighted.

Genocide & casualties of war are slightly different things. Bush & Blair are not war criminals. There was a morale justificate if not any other reason.

I just wish these damn elections would get here faster. I'm sick of Bush, as well as how hated he is. I also hope the America bashing also stops when he is gone (since I think he's the main reason the bashing is so extreme these days)...

Tbh, I don't care for politics (it just causes trouble imo), and I DEFINITELY don't care for Bush... :x

I hope the elections don't get here fast, all the running candidates seem like douches, atleast Bush has some guts.

What idiot would retreat all troops before the job is done anyway?

...the job is done...we got rid of Saddam, allowing the Iraqi people to figure out what they want to do next. Not our place to tell them "this or that group should be in charge." Its Un-American.

A core American value is that if your government isn't serving you, you should overthrow it. Tis a duty, at least according to the declaration of independance. Hell, going beyond that, almost every country has had a civil war. If some of the Iraqi people don't like the government we installed then it's their right to try and change it. They're not terrorists, or insurgents, their freedom fighters. They want their government installed, and let the best man win. We have no right to interfere in another nation's civil war.

Exactly what 'job' isn't finished anyway? I know, I know, it's easier to listen to and repeat meaningless rhetoric, but comon man, think for yourself! What else is there to do?

Nothing.

(oh, and according to the definition Bush actually is a war criminal. Tis an undisutable fact. Too tired, must go bed, will post explanation later)

What is the difference between freedom fighters and terrorists other than your own opinion on the matter?
