The Canadian Crest

Now I've never been to Europe, but it's a well known rumor that people with a Canadian crest on their backpack is better-treated in Europe than someone who hasn't, because it's assumed that they are American and not very well liked.

So, considering a lot of this forum's population is from Europe... Is this true? Are people with a Canadian crest on their backpacks treated better than those who aren't?

Not to sayy would YOU treat someone better if they ahd one, but do you think that the general population would? I've heard stories about how Americans would put a Canadian crest on their backpack just to be treated better, but I don't know if those stories are true.

It was just a Simpsons joke, I treat foreign people all the same: like they barely understand a word of my great language.

I don't think I've seen this gag on the Simpsons before...

anywho, tourists are easily spotted. When yo see one, turn around to avoid a question of "Where is Olso?" (for example)..

But tourists are nice people, yes i group them all.
They are nice to other people to be liked etc. Most of them that is.

Where i live there are always Dutch tourists at the dock. And they don't miss one day without drinking beer, singing songs and fish.

We join them ofcourse! Drinking, singing (only mumbeling words that sounds dutch) and watch after them when they are fishing. They tend to row the boat 60000 miles out to sea and never return
