I'm not really gonna make it. I watched the first one and it's fairly decent. Yay for propoganda, though I question how Freud's bunk theories (which are considered today by most psychologists to be pop culture trash, more or less)REALLY hold it up. Oh well. Interesting stuff I imagine if I hadn't already been inundated in advertising theory and didn't have work to do.

consumer culture, how it controls the masses and how freuds theory works into this. freud being the most popularly known psychologist, if not the most correct.

Im interested in this - Im doing A Level psychology. however an hour is too long for me. Ill watch part 2 later today and the rest through the week.

oh yeah bear in mind frued came up with his theories in the victorian eras or whatever, back when most people where very sexually uptight. in todays very much more liberal society where you can turn on the tv at pretty much any time of day and see people having sex, his theories are not so relevent as our sexual desires are no longer so repressed.

It's scary because it shows how culture can be (and has been) dictated through media via corporations or government. In these modern times, I don't have to describe why this is important - you yourself know why. We all do, or at least, should do.
