A lady died at my work today.

Postby srredfire on Sat Jul 14, 2007 11:40 pm

*sigh* I'm home early from work. I'm 18. I work at a golf course. Here I am in Colorado for the summer, working at the golf course for the 3rd year in a row. It's a mountain type course, so it can get pretty risky if you're not paying attention. Enough said there.

#6 is on top of a hill. You go up to the tee-box and shoot, and then work your way down. This lady did, but in a much more cynical sense.

From what we could tell, her back right tire caught a rock, or an edge, and cause her to flip, her tumbling down a short hill, along with the cart.

Now these cart are heavy, and if they land on you, it's probably not too good in your case. I mean, we've had a lot of carts flip. Usually kids, and they come back to the clubhouse and say "Oh we flipped a cart... bye" and kind of run off. Well this time the cart landed on her head. Not the top of the cart, the bottom, with the motor and batteries and axles and what not. Died instantly.

This is the first dead body I've seen first hand, and it wasn't exactly in a peaceful sense either. She was, pardon my French, fucked up, real bad. I mean, well shit I don't need to go into detail.

But yeah, keep her family in her prayers, she was around 40 yrs old or so.

Funny how life works huh? Sunshine in the morning, crying in the evening.

Indeed. Shame she was so young, but I don't think I'd want to die in a normal way. Strange, unlucky, and good way to go.

Hope you feel better

When another person dies in the family, I don't want an open casket funeral. They really creep me out. It seems like how they look dead is the only way I can think of them.

Wow...I wonder if they will be able to have an open casket funeral for this. At least I can pray for these ppl. And I agree with Torrean, I personally hate open casket funerals. I like to remember the good old days...

So basically she killed herself because she can't drive?

If a lot of them flip over you should have roll-cages. Doesn't cost much to strengthen them.

Although I haven't seen anyone dead IRL yet, before ogrish.com became liveleak (Which sucks balls) there was a lot of interesting and indeed fucked up stuff on there so I can imagine how she must have looked like, shame you had to see that.
