Some of these same individuals also pay income taxes,
[...]But even if one is paid “under the table” where neither the employer nor employee report the income to the IRS, other taxes are paid by illegal immigrants. This would include mainly sales taxes on items purchased in most states and localities.[...]Corporate income taxes could also be paid in part by illegal immigrants. The burden of any corporate tax will fall on a combination of three parties: workers, consumers, and/or shareholders. While illegal immigrants tend to not be active investors, they are often workers and consumers, so they do bear a fraction of that burden.

Now I haven't digged for the numbers, but I swear to god I heard this on the radio, coming from some "expert"
Paraphrase wrote:Because so many people think taxes are unconstitutional, and because so many people don't make enough to pay income taxes, it is extremely possible that the percentage of illegal immigrants that pay income taxes is higher than the percentage of citizens and legal residents that do/
It seems unlikely, but I swear to God it's true. And the evidence is there. It's simply a fact that illegal immigrants DO pay taxes, and that the vast MAJORITY pay social security and Medicare taxes, and EXTREMELY PROBABLY THAT THE MAJORITY PAY INCOME TAXES (these numbers are very hard to find).
I really wouldn't worry about illegal immigrants and taxes, I would worry about people and corporations not paying their taxes, and the rediculous tax bracket system that has the poor and middle and upper middle classes paying most of the taxes and the super-rich able to avoid almost all of their taxes. (for example, majority shareholders usually aren't taxed because their corporation will pay for them)
EDIT: Slightly different but illegal immigrants also contribute to our overall economic health by purchasing credit cards and loans. You might think they can't pay taxes, or get credit cards, but the simple fact of the matter is that the IRS and Banks would prefer to get the money than to lose the immigrants, and so the systems are set up in such a way that they do.
