Lobbyism is something rather bad, because lobbyist mostly don't talk about the opinion and wishes of the people, but of the industry. But it would of course be better to have "our own" lobbyists there, because the game industry can afford it by now.
I don't know. If its come down to having to defend games against politicians with politicians, then the whole world (or US government) has gone to hell. With the latter, its been that way for awhile now.

That's how politics works man. Lots of different influences pulling in different directions. If you aren't represented in that tug of war then you get abused. The games industry is massively neglected in political circles so it needs a lobby group like this just to get fair representation.
