Televangelist calls for WW3, Nuking Middle East

For those who do not know, Pastor hagee is a bible beating fatass who shouts about world war 3 almost daily as though it is a biblical truth.

He makes pat robertson and jerry falwell look like harmless bunnies by comparison.

He's a member of AIPAC (America Pro Israel Lobby, of which every presidential candidate except ron paul is a member) and is on the payroll of the United States Government.

He wants the U.S. and Israel to nuke Iran and the middle east so that Jesus will come back.

I wish I was making this up.

Worst part is, he's rich and has millions of T.V. viewers daily.

This is serious, serious business.

Article Quote:

Quote:

"We want you to recognize that Iran is a clear and present danger to the United States of America and Israel. And... that it's time for our country to consider a military pre-emptive strike against Iran if they will not yield to diplomacy," says Pastor John Hagee, a popular television preacher and head of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), an organization that he founded in February 2006.

That was said, of all places, on the steps of the Capitol during a Christian Zionist summit in July 2007. Among some 4,500 listeners, there were prominent representatives of the U.S. ruling elite: on the Republican side, presidential candidate John McCain, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and former Republican House majority leader Tom DeLay; among the Democrats, Senator Joseph Lieberman was in attendance. Israel was represented at the rally by former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

"When 50 million American evangelicals unite with 5 million American Jews, you know it is a match made in heaven," the preacher said. In response, Sen. Lieberman said of the preacher: "I would describe Pastor Hagee with the words the Torah uses to describe Moses: he is an ‘Eesh Elo Kim,' a man of God because those words fit him; and, like Moses he has become the leader of a mighty multitude in pursuit of and defense of Israel."

Who are the "Christian Zionists"? They are a variety of Protestant "fundamentalists" who interpret current events literally as prophesies fulfilled, in accordance with Biblical prophecy, and interpret the prophetic texts as describing inevitable future events. They prefer the most literal interpretation, as proposed back in the 19th century by Briton John Darby, who said there would be no Second Coming of Christ until the Jews returned to the Holy Land.

When Israel was "recreated" in Palestine in 1948, the Darby followers came to the conclusion that that had happened exactly "according to the Scripture." Literalists like Hagee have since continued to replace historiography with theology. From these theological "heights," they imagine themselves to be political strategists and rulers of destinies in the world: after all, "in accordance with the Scripture," Abraham's posterity should possess the entire Holy Land - from Mesopotamia to Turkey to Egypt."

My Opinion is that "the Anonymous" who are attacking scientology need to turn their attention to this organization instead, for the sake of all of us.
Strangely Delicious.

Pathetic.

"When 50 million American evangelicals unite with 5 million American Jews, you know it is a match made in heaven," the preacher said.

Yeah, I'd like to see you guys go up against, what 1.1 to 1.8 billion Muslims?

I would really appreciate it, if people would stop using religion as argument for political statements.

TBH, I would of thought you'd understand that this guy doesn't represent Christianity in the same way those people who play games and murder people dont represent the game industry.

Like the game industry, religions seem to have the negative focused on.

I shall get flamed, but they deserve to get nuked.

BUT: that is the first thought that comes to one's head, very superficial and stupid. We just can't bomb 'em, period.

The guy is stupid.

If America didn't sell them the weapons, there wouldn't be a problem, but money is more important than lives...obviously.

Also, I am not flaming but what do you mean they deserve to be nuked?

What an asshole. It doesn't matter how many people call for it. For instance, george bush may not be very smart, but he IS smart enough to know that nuking anything will not help anything.

You say he is on the payment of the American government. What are you, some sort of fucking conspiracy theorist? The American government does NOT pay people to do this. Why? Its called foreign policy. Countries hate us enough. Americans calling for nukes and ww3 is only going to make things even hell-ier then it already is over seas.

I don't want this to come across racist or something like that, but if people think we have a jihad on our hands now, than god fucking help us if we nuke the middle east.

To VCool: Flame time. They don't deserved to be nuked. Its a cultural difference, with Jihad and such. Many people only see their way of life as the right way, but they are narrow minded. Look from the "Jihad-ists" point of view (I'm not supporting terrorists in any way. Terrorists and anarchists should be found, and killed.) someone invaded their homeland, and is threatening their ideal. The same thing can apply to a war, genocide, or something as small as a gang war. If your ideas, and your life and everything you have is threated, you will risk your life to defend it. This is very similar to the crusades in my mind. Moral Diplomacy should never have been invented, or used. Rallying people by telling them to "Kill the Communists who threaten democracy", or "Kill the men who threaten Christianity" is only something a person would do if they were backed into a corner (The US is NOT backed into a corner, either) or sheltered view of life would do.

Another HUGE thing. Just because someone has tons of viewers, means nothing. The average American (I'm an American. I have the right to insult my own country.) is, to be honest, to lazy to ever call there senators, or congress, or really take any action in general.

The people who call for these things are nothing but "radical extremeists" who are fanatics. They belive this is the way, and because of their fanaticism their way, is the only right way. I'm not sorry in the least for saying any of this, as i'm sure I will be flamed, or disagreed with by someone, but these are my views. And this, is where I end my rant, as I have MUCH more to say about this topic, and people like this, but I will draw the line here.

Exactly, the Islamic Fundamentalists only make up a small percent, and only have very limited support from other Muslims, so therefore nuking them could mobilize something we'd all regret. And nuking it would also destroy all the archaeological and historic benefits, therefore destroying culture, which in turn is quite barbaric. Also, you'd be killing millions of innocent people. Nobody deserves that, that's genocide, and if anyone thinks that's a solution, they're as close minded as the Islamic Fundamentalists they despise.

ghost12332 wrote:You say he is on the payment of the American government. What are you, some sort of fucking conspiracy theorist? The American government does NOT pay people to do this.

Actually, he is on the payroll, technically. And the US government does pay people like this. Neo-Conservatives. Using religion as a method of election. If he can sway the minds of 55 million people, then that'd be a great political tool and therefore wouldn't be a problem to sponsor.

Hmm... It saddens me when noone does any research into the politics and facts of any given situation, and I'm not talking about posters on lopers, I'm talking about the nutter referred to in the original post.

For everyone's, (particularly VCools) benefit though, picture this:

You're living in a country dominated by military rulers and religious extremists, you don't necessarily agree with your governments ways or policies, nor do approximately 90% of your fellow population. You simply want to live a peaceful and healthy life. There's very little you can do about your own government, and over the other side of the world, religious people are calling on TV for your home and country to be pre-emptively destroyed (and in the most horrific way) on the basis of "they deserve it".

Now am I describing Iran, America, the UK? Doesn't matter. We're all in the same boat.

I don't think Iran goes about things the right way, I think they're scared, arrogant and pushy, but they don't deserve to be judged without all the facts, and the facts are out there, they just don't get reported anymore. :(

Nuking Iran as a "pre-emptive" strike is quite useless. Now if Iran launched a missile at Israel or smuggled one into the US then blew it up, thats whole different scenario.

Besides, God operates on his own time scale, not a human one. Judgment Day can be tomorrow or a thousand years from now.

When I lived in Israel, in Netanya to be precise, there was a shooting right across my street. At a hotel we usually stopped at. I think there were 6 people shot by (I think) 4 terrorists. One managed to escape. I could hear the assault rifle shots. I thought they were firecrackers. About 30 minutes after the shooting, the skies were full of helicopter sound, as they searched the nearby park with a searchlight, accompanied by loads of plicemen with dogs.

The restaraunt of another hotel (Park Hotel) we stayed at once (the rest. was located right at the base of the building) was bombed - it was a miracle the building didn't fall to pieces.

It was a miracle that we didn't stop at any of those hotels.

After that you may want to reconsider your morals.

Do not get me wrong. I do not approve of europeans intervening in their affairs - neither I do approve of terrorrism as a way out. I can understand their want of Freedom (oh yes, trust me) but I do not approve of their mesaures of obtaining it.

In addition, I hope I did not offend anyone - I am not anti-muslim. I've studied their religion, and I did not find it anywhere in Qu'ran where it says "thous must murder Jews". I do not hate muslims. I hate terrorists, and those fags who exploit Qu'ran and deliberately misinterpret it for their ideological reasons.

Let me just be the first to say that, in my opinion, the "real" Americans of America represent America, not the government and those who fully trust in them. So in my opinion, America didn't sell them the weapons, the government did. The Declaration of Independence clearly states that the purpose of a government is to protect the rights of the citizens, and that the citizens have the right to demolish the government if it's showing signs of threat. God I love Civics.

The whole point of America was complete freedom (which of course always comes with a price) and a democracy, but now it's just getting ridiculous. I hate America's government now. The bottom line is money, nobody gives a fuck...

Nuking is out of the question because of nuclear fallout. That can drift into other innocent countries and cause more innocent casualties than those of which exist in Iran. Plus nuclear bombs will always take their toll on the environment. God knows what the hell it could cause. Religion is not a freaking excuse to wipe out an entire civilization, no matter how much of a threat it may be. Although, if it's either them or you, go for it, save yourself. What this nut job doesn't realize is that there's always a scientific consequence for nuking a country like this. No matter how much safer it makes America, it could ruin the entire middle east and possibly eradicate the oil there which would fuck up the economy for many other countries. The middle east is the #1 producer of petroleum, so why nuke it?
