Request on voting for my band :)

Postby WhirlWindWabbit on Thu Dec 18, 2008 4:10 pm

Hey there!

Some of you, though not too many, probably know me as a lurker here at Interlopers. Aside my gaming life, though, I also play in a metal band. I have a small favor to ask of you, and it would only take up a minute of your time, honestly.

We've registered to play at MetalCamp this year, a huge open-air festival that takes place for seven days sometime in the middle of the summer. This festival is known all over the world, and any and all bands are welcome to sign up in hopes of participating. Now, besides a named committee that has the most say in which bands play at MetalCamp, it is also possible that fans vote for their bands. So, I would like to humbly ask you if you could spare a minute of your time and cast a vote for us, irregardless if you like our music or not. We would all greatly appreciate it!

If you are interested, please follow the following link:

http://www.metalcamp.com/voting.php

On the very top a small window will be displayed, with which you can search for bands. Just search for "Atrum Inferum" (without the quotes) and vote for us! You'd have to confirm your vote in an e-mail you'd receive. That would be all I am asking.

Optionally, if anyone is interested, you can also view our profile over at MySpace, here:

http://www.myspace.com/atruminferum

That would be all. Thanks for your time!

All depends whether I decide your music is MAN enough to get a vote.

BRB.

EDIT: Heard enough. Viking metal is win (Amon Amarth). Good luck guys.

The way I decide if something is definately too shit for me to bother voting is if someone asks me to vote for it.

However, here is a different case.

A member of 'lopers for a start, a contributor.

Secondly, a kind, polite request which we are free to have a look at and decide for ourselves.

Thirdly, its viking rock.

Fourthly, it's a band, rather than a mapping contest. He's asking for a hand from fellow 'lopers, this isnt a fucking advertisement like the previous effort.

So, you get my vote!

Thank you for all the replies! I do agree with KILLA-COW that begging is not the way to go about a thing you wish to complete, but my post was intended to get the word of our band out to more people, and if they wish, to cast a vote for us. I respect all opinions posted in this thread, and if my original post came across like a sort of a plea, than I do apologize. That was certainly not my intention. I just thought that it could not hurt to try and get some new fans, or people that would be wiling to lend us a hand on this forum, since a lot of people listen to a lot of music, and there was bound to be at least one person who would like our music, or would be willing to help us out.

I do appreciate that you even took the time to read my post, so thank you all. And thanks to everybody who also voted. We really appreciate it! :)

Also, the title is a bit off since this is not "my" band, it's a combined effort of five talented individuals. I can't say anybody owns it :)

Great metal! You took influence from Arch Enemy perhaps? Your scream sounds alot like mine (And angela gossows :D ) and your guitar parts sound quite a bit like them at times.

+1 on the vote counter. Rock On
