Things always change. If things didn't change, I would be very concerned.

But change isn't always for the better. Change can be negative, obviously.
Frankly, ever since 9/11, I feel vulnerable whenever I am flying.
Nowadays, in our 21st century of technology, airplanes can be flown and even land via autopilot from a local airport.
Scary fact, isn't it?

Yeah I am normally not one for racial profiling, but I was flying back east last year and there was a young Muslim man waiting for my same flight. ordinarily I would not think twice but he looked nervous as all hell. The fact of the matter is he was probably nervous because he knew people where looking at him thinking the same thing I was. That did not settle my mind though. The only thing that did was a ridiculous logic I thought of. He happened to have a carry-on. This carry-on was a clear bag filled with books, one of which was the Qur'an. In my mind I said if he was planning on blowing the plane up he would not destroy the Qur'an. I have not idea if that is true, but that is what i thought of to put my mind at ease. When we landed I saw him run to his mom and dad and give them a big hug. I felt silly when it was all said and done with, but being the son of a cop tends to make me air on the side of caution.

That is exactly why all the politics and policy changes have brought almost nothing but bad things. Everyone feels vulnerable and the state of fear is kept at a profitable level. I feel bad for every arab flying these days; must be worse than dating a white girl in the 50s. Not only that, but it's been pretty much shown that all these security measures are nothing but an illusion of safety... but this discussion will never end.

Locked.

Just kidding lol. I think the quote "The state of fear is kept at a profitable level" is a pretty accurate depiction of the American Way these days.
