I didn't intend for it to come off so harshly, and I did exaggerate it quite a bit, but you did say that it was an insult to human intellectuality as a species to be religious, which I strongly disagree with. More discussing and less quarreling, lets not wreck a good thread.

This is a thread that's cycling arguments.

A much more interesting thread would be 'To what degree do you believe in Religion?'

With poll options of "literally", "metaphorically", "a bit" and "bugger all".

Oops! I was thinking of another thread that refuses to die. By all means, continue on!

My Magic Beliefs Rule:

I think that people can believe anything they want as long as they don't force their views onto me or do anything I classify as 'evil'. (evil being anything that is detrimental to my idea of a perfect world)

I'll stick with this when it comes to ideology.

we are just a simulation we are a kind of sims and every thing around us is build up by pixels if u look at Molecule scale it is.... spooky action at a distance einstein :) every thing looks like it is has been programed.
even our eyes with their R,G,B receptors are almost equal to how a computer makes colours.... Maybe what we call GOD is just a very good Artificial intelligence

That's fine for you to disagree with, but that's what I (emphasis added, as I don't want to be thought of as speaking for coder0xff, though I think we agree) think. I won't expect you to come round to my point of view, and I don't think that's really what I am aiming for. But I will argue my case, and I hope I will do it with civility, rationally, and comprehensibly.

That is, if it's required?

@poisonic: Computers use RGB because our eyes are simple enough to be fooled by it - not the other way around. :P Also, I wonder if you're referring to the Planck length as a sort of pixel length. Only problem here is that pixels or voxels have axial alignment and orthogonality, where as reality is just kind of a soup. Totally off topic though.

@Noodles: I do agree.

@Smurftyours: Yes, that's what I said.
