I don´t have that much experience about other countries when it comes to living in them but I can tell you that, Sweden sucks these days. And there is too many problem to write them all down here but you could go to our neighbour countries beacuse it seems that they are standing pretty well these days exept the economic thing.

Well I'm English and I want to move to Sweden. Or Norway. Or Holland.

But probably Sweden.

But the main point is, everyone wants to get out and go somewhere else. And yes, every English person will tell you it's rubbish here, we are FAMOUS for moaning about England. But the truth is, it's great.

Unless you're in the North.
Or Wales.
Or Scotland.
Or Yorkshire.
London is only good for the Southbank.
Don't go near Norfolk.
Stay away from Birmingham.

See what I mean?
'English as tuppence, changing yet changeless as canal water, nestling in green nowhere, armoured and effete, bold flag-bearer, lotus-fed Miss Havershambling, opsimath and eremite, feudal, still reactionary Rawlinson End.'

You guys are missing the big picture. It's not the location that sucks. It's humanity. It's life. The only way to solve it is to escape from living.

That's considered a crime in some countries.

That is correct. In most countries, Humans are the only species that does not have the right to die. We are not worthy of the privilege, apparently.

Holy Shit?! another Michigander? I thought I was the only one on the entire site.

But I do think you're right, nice summers, alright winters (if you live in the east then you don't get much, if any lake effect snow :D) and LoL real estate. I can buy some riverfront property outside of detroit with the money I have in my pocket right now.

MICHIGAN FTW! we over on the west side do get hammered by snow in the winter, but still have amazing summers (woot). It's also great cause Lake Michigan is way nicer than any saltyass ocean. Unless for employment purposes, i'd never move, that is unless my entire family up and moved elsewhere, then i might join them.

Finally someone gets it. Not like you'll be suffering anymore than you are. They, however, will have one less tax payer.

...and here's an example of a thread that went from "Should I move to another country?" to "Should I kill myself?".

Fascinating.

No, because nobody is telling anyone to commit suicide, the discussion just slipped there.

in a happy ending note having nothing to do with suicide:

life is what you make it to be. You're going encounter problems in any place you move. Most likely, down the road, you'll just end up in the same dilemma you are in now. If I were you, I'd stay where my family is. (assuming your close to them)

The prospect of a better life while I'm in college and after college is the only thing that keeps me hanging on.

Arizona is such a great place. So I'm going to ASU. No more Ft. Drum NY snow, please. Patience coder, patience. Just keep holding on till then.
