Obama Gets Nobel Peace Prize...

So you may or may not have heard, President Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his talks about reducing Nukes in the world and so on...

So does anyone actually think he deserves it? He is in office for less than a year and has not done anything other than talk about reducing nukes. I am not saying he has not be trying to move the world towards a more peaceful place but it is a bit early, in my opinion, to give him an award like this. Maybe if Iran stops trying to get nukes and North Korea stops trying to sell them... But since he has been in office North Korea has tested nukes, and launched missiles. Then just a week or so ago Iran says they do not want to let the UN look at their Nuclear facilities, that was a day or two after Obama got up at the UN and said Iran needs to stop trying to get nukes. Then Iran launches missiles the following week. I don't know, I just think the award is a bit premature...

He's Done about the same amount of work as any president ever,the only diffrence being every media outlet loves him(except for fox of course) and so america gets a buttload of "Obama signed a bill thats going to save the panda's of carolina" shoved down there throat.

I dont know, no one in the media seems to be asking tough questions anymore.

I like the guy pretty good and I like what he's trying to do, but this is bloody early. Their reasoning was the talks he's gave? That's the first reason I've heard, I don't really have any idea of what he's done to deserve it yet.

Also I think many of you are too critical, Surely he's not the second coming of Christ, but I think you guys should look (more) into some of his work before you say he hasn't done anything.

Until now, considering his actual actions and not just words, he is just a well-behaved US president (probably something that is reinforced in peoples minds considering he comes after GW Bush). The fact is this has nothing to do with politics, It does however have everything to do with the fact that he was nominated less than two weeks after being in office. Time will tell if his talks will be successful or not, and I truly hope they are. But actions speak louder than words. Show me results and I will recant anything bad I ever said about him.
