What does that mean? :P

TBH anyone who leads a country has to be an arsehole. Yes some politicians start out with good intentions, but in order to climb the political ladder they need to listen more to greedy businessmen than the people they serve.

I can't think of any political leader from any political party that I've liked. Wait... I guess Junichiro Koizumi was pretty awesome, but that's because he was so damned funny.

Just sayin'.

I voted for him, but... ehhhhhh, someone else should've gotten it.

Unfortunately it's a toss up between awarding the prize after all the tough stuff is done and things are (more) peaceful, or they award it to people who look like they're trying but might yet fail. In one way, the prize is being used purely for recognition. In the other, it's being used as a tool to promote changes. And I doubt this isn't the first time it's been awarded "in advance" to push a cause.

Uhm... By making more? By signing an agreement to transfer nuclear tech. to India, who isn't a signatory to the NPT? By spending an order of magnitude more money on making new warheads compared to securing and disposing potential "rogue" nukes worldwide? (This is the treaty/policing numbers, and obviously does not include the cost of major wars against non-nuclear enemies.)

President Bush. Who criticized Bush for his war decisions? President Obama. Whose getting the Nobel Prize for trying to get rid of nukes...President Bush........er wait... WHAT!? Obama's getting the award for something BUSH did!????

I think it's safe to assume that any president since WWII has made some effort to keep nukes out of the hands of other nations.
