What game appeals to you, the players

Postby Rukus_ on Mon Nov 23, 2009 5:38 am

My and an associate are currently in a squabble over which one of our ideas appeal to the masses. I explained that the gaming community makes most of its decisions at first glance, making many gems go unplayed. So I will only give a brief description of each idea.

Game 1

A Vietnam first person shooter set 67-73. This mod can have up to 32 players and plays like DOD with a few additional modes.

Game 2

A Half Life 2 co-op mod. This mod can have up to 6 players per game and pushes for teamwork much like Left 4 Dead. It is Half Life 2 with original content like Sven Coop.

Game 3

A Source Engine horror mod set in the 1960s. This mod has many classic horror monsters (werewolves, vampires, demons, etc). The gameplay focuses around a constant story-driven multiplayer, meaning in between certain levels you must buy items with points accumulated in game. 32 players max.

(EDIT)
You may see this thread in other forums, I have done this to insure accuracy.

These are drastically different games, game types and one can imagine many differing degrees of quality and executing of said varieties - without further info all three ideas seem generic with game #3 the least generic. By which I mean my vote wouldn't be strongly motivated since there is no "other" option.

Then again you may not care, since you're interested in the "decision at first glance" (ignoring advertisement and presentation).
