I'm looking to gather some data from the primarily Male audience here.
I'm trying to see what most men would compare the smell of their testicles to.

It can be any food item, chemical or otherwise.

Me and a partner had stumbled on this question and we could not come to a single conclusion.
This could have potentially enlightening information on how we perceive a scent as individuals.
It's important however that results be described as accurately as possible.

It's preferable if you answer based on your current odor but using a past example is fine so long as it's accurate.*

This is a criminally under reported topic and I wish I could find more scholarly articles on the subject.
So thanks in advance for the information you provide.


*Proper method to test what ones testicles smell like is to stick your hand over your genital region and caress your testes for a solid minute. Then place your hand onto your face for the most accurate scent.

I do say, it is a perplexing question asked by many men greater than I, but the conclusion that I have come to is that balls smell like dead fish.

I'm going for vinegar. I'd almost wager for bread, but vinegar is a good description.

I'm interested in others input.

At it's most basic, but we're trying to keep this mature and try not to devolve into silly balls references.

My balls smell like balls. I never really compared it to anything.

what are the controls for this test? how much time must have passed between taking a shower and taking the test? am i supposed to do this in the morning before a shower or right after?

on that note, i guess i should clean my balls off first? i mean, i just got into the peanut butter and jelly before reading this.

so to answer your question without the clarifications i am requesting...it would be a toss-up between peanut butter and jelly, or Herbal Essence Strawberry Kiwi Low Fat Zero Calorie Body Rinse.

also, i dont see selectors for "sawdust" or "patent leather" and i think they are warranted.

For the sake of variety I would have people get multiple samples over a period of time including multiple days after a shower and post shower among other combinations(working out, sports).

But asking people to smell their balls repeatedly over a longer period would limit the number of responses.

So for now I guess we're working on the smell as of reading this poll.

Even though i use nothing that smells like this, I've always found that mine smell sorta like a strawberry kind of scent. But its like a aged strawberry, still good, but idk. It smells like balls.
