I couldnt agree any more with them. When I turn my music up to full, my head starts to ring. This doesnt happen with normal headphones though, I can listen to loud music but when it is physicaly in my ear its just uncomfortable and cause headaches.

i've had my ipod for about a year and a half now. honestly, the only complaint that i have is that people either worship it like its a god, or bash it... just because its an ipod. I cant tell the difference between zen quality and pod quality. they look like shit? well thats a matter of personal opinion, and something that i doubt ill be able to swing (especially if your a zen fanboy). and, lastly no one said i ever had to buy the next model. the same could be said with computers every time a company released a new video card or a new mouse. do you REALLY have to get a newer one, no.

i also dont use the buds that apple supplies. i own my own sony headphones, no idea what model, and far too tired to find a pic off their site.

I'm afraid there are much more thing in your every day lives that can dammage your health besides ear-bud head phones. Many things you may think are harmless, but can kill you in the long run. I'm not sure exactly what all of them are yet... Unless I've heard this information from an unreliable source. Who knows. I have no proof and I have done no research.
I have no grudges or idolizations of iPods because I have never used and MP3 player before. I was never aware of any problems with ear bud head phones either. I'll take a look later. Last year, I had used ear-bud headphones for my computer for a few months and I had no problems. I didn't really turn the sound too high though. I do remember playing CS 1.6 in CS_office and some guy accused me of hacking because I could hear him through the walls (the foot steps) and he didn't seem to be aware there is sound in the game.

I hate the idea of earbuds. And hate using them, uncomfortable, and can electrocute the inside of your ear easily... Mine did But regular headphones are to bulky and big.

Sending Creative Products to Hell wouldnt be a worse enough fate for them. Ive had a horrible history with creative products be it sound cards or mp3 players, which ive had two of. I havent used anything by them in the past 3 years so I dont know if they have imporved, but I dont plan on taking another chance with them anytime soon.

Correction: ear buds that come bundled with mp3 players sound like shit and have no bass. Of course, that was true about over the ear headphones that came bundled with cd players long ago as well. You get what you pay for. Ear buds that go in your ear (like ear plugs) can sound incredible. (once again depending on the money you want to spend) and can have enormous bass (if you want-I much prefer a more balanced sound).

As for Creative products: I love them. The audigy series is one of the best in the business and I'm completely in love with my zen nomad xtra mp3 player. However, I think I prefer iRiver for MP3 players a bit. Fooled around with an H10 and it's awesome and my wife uses a T10 for working out that sounds quite nice.
