I love the assumption inherent in the first post that anyone who speaks against bush must simply be doing it for the sake of it, cos it's cool, cos it's a cash-cow etc.

Ever consider that perhaps people have genuine reason to critisice Bush & his administration?

Absolutely.

Slayera mentioned that Bush will have a bigger deficit than Regan by the end of his term. He has already generated more national debt than any other president combined. He has not vetoed a single thing that has come accross his desk. Not one thing. Everything congress asks for they get.

Bush breaks the law every day. Was a horrible Governor in TX. Is and will be a horrible President until he either gets the boot or makes it to the end of his last term.

Slayera said it best in his previous post, covered most of the Bush BS.

I saw a great bumper sticker the other day!

"NO MORE BUSHIT"

People who say this obviously dont understand that ANTI-POLITICAL music has been around for nearly 40 years or so. Its not a trend by any means "to look cool" but to express your point of view in music.

However, bands like greenday arent allowed to do this because they are on a Big record lable that expects greenday to get alot of money. So they make music that teens will like. Right now, because of media such as The Daily Show, that trend is mocking G. W. B. Think of them as an exploit to the ge

However, I do understand where your come from when you say "to look cool" because often this is true. However, some of us, atleast I am, dont really care about looking cool in public. And if one does, It usualy goes away after your school years because you don't need to appeal to everyone at your school. Usualy you even dont get into music as much as you once did.

Anyway, my point is that Political Satires or Mockery has been in media ever since media itself. I bet you anything that you can find some WWII satirical books if you look hard enough. Saying greenday started this is like saying Osama started terrorism. It isnt true.

Ummm, terrorism cant be "started" by somebody. The definition is:

Dictionary.com wrote: The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.

So basicaly, its an action. The word "terrorism" is very broud. Hense, war against terrorism is like saying war against crime.

Yokai anti political music has been around since music and politics excisted in the same universe.

Oh and on the subject of Osama starting terrorism are you a moon goblin?

Christ even in modern day idea we had the IRA bombing us not a decade a go. The muslim extremists have been going well before the whole "we need a scape goat to pin this all on osama looks pretty easy" thing.

Democracy is a myth. Mediacracy is the real deal. Just look at how the media can bend peoples opinions about stupid things like drawings of some islamitic chap, how anti-middle eastern the john doe in the usa is, how extremely right everybody gets in a left government, and vice versa. The media have more power in running western countries than the average dictator...

Although I currently do not have the attension span to read that entire post I would like to point out that:

Bush didn't lie, the CIA did (even though it might have been through his pressure on them to find something, but then again we had all rights to believe it considering former presidents did give Iraq WMDs and they weren't letting the UN go in and take a look)

Bush DID complete his guard duty, the report (I believe it was NewsWeek who first got it) was proven to be FALSE (which any trained military personel should have been able to spot nearly instantly, and also this has to do with zombie@computer's Mediacracy because NewsWeek didn't even bother to figure out if it was real or not before saying "HEY LOOK! BUSH SUCKS MORE")

I dislike bush becasue the only thing he's good at is being a complete idiot. I look at him, then I wonder about all the people that voted for him... Then I wonder to myself, how stupid can these people be on a basis of 1 to 10? 11 I hear you say?

If you want to attack Bush that's fine. But stop calling the people who voted for him idiots. If Gore or Kerry won you'd still probably be bitching about us dumb Americans voting for them and not Bush.

Um, no. Look at Bush's beliefs and his performance as governer. Part of his 'platform' was to completely abolish income taxes. His answer to 'wheres the money' was that services would be picked up by faith-based initiatives. His policies tote religion and corporate well being above all.

Now, I don;t know about you... but last time I heard government was still "deriving their just Powers from the consent of the governed". This leads directly into seperation of church and state and directly against the current theocrat that was elected to govern.

So while the people who voted for Bush may not be 'dumb', they are eaither 'dumb', ill-informed, or wish to live in a theocracy.
