Amazing old-world style indie folk pop, imagine the beautiful children of Frank Sinatra, A Mariachi band, A marching band and an old gypsie man with a mandolin and you're heading in the right direction.
The Grates - Gravity won't get you high
A crazy energetic bunch of Aussie pop-rockers, these guys make kinetic, psychotic, magnificently infectious songs with strong hooks and the sorta girl-band punch that'll knock your ass to the floor.

Without a doubt - 'Kasabian' self titled debut. brilliant
also Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not
and Gorillaz - Deamon Days, at first I only really liked the singles.. but now I love it. great stuff.
you can prievew alot of this stuff on LastFM so check it out:

Kasabian - try processed beats, cutt off, butcher blues... its all good really, I just wish they showed more than 30 secs
