KMFDM is sorta dancish but not really, but try finding the song 'piggybank' or 'a hole in the wall' I think they'd suit it nicely.

EDIT: but wait neither of those songs are fast or dancish, but piggybank is pretty cool. Maybe take a look for some of their more faster shit, like the remix of WW III or the original WW III

Bit difficult to choose 3, as I rate them all about the same. If I had to choose 3, I would pick:

  • Bellini - Samba De Janeiro
  • Verka Serduchka: Dancing Lasha Tumbai
  • Gunther & The Sunshine Girls - Ding Dong Song

If any admin feels this doesn't belong in this area, feel free to move it wherever. I made this same thread over at Facepunch yesterday, and after one day, this happened:

That was a stupid reason for banning you *slaps Facepunch admin around*. This should be the right place however, as there is a huge topic full of music in this section of the forums.

I love anything by Way Out West (even though that's mostly house) or Above and Beyond.
My top 3? Hard to say. But...

  • North Pole by Solid Globe (on Disc 2 of Tiësto's Nyana)
  • Apollo by Way Out West (on Disc 1 of Don't Look Now)
  • Urban Shakedown by Solar Factor (on Disc 1 of Tiësto's Nyana)

Hell man, go register over at Acid Planet (http://www.acidplanet.com). You can view thousands of artists who have records out, or artists who are unsigned and independent ("indie artists"). There's plenty of good songs at the site. One great one is Above All Boundaries. I think it's #1 on the top 25 list for Hard Trance songs, I'd recommend it.

Not all artists allow you to download their music, and you HAVE to be registered to do so, unless of course you get the program Orbit. It's a rich media downloader, and you can rip the .asf file (the song) from the Acid Planet "Rockatron", which is basically the media player.

You can listen to the song as .asf using Windows Media Player, but if you want it on your mp3 player or something, you have to convert it to mp3, obviously. For converting, I'd recommend imTOO Audio Encoder; it works perfectly for me. You can probably use a different program for ripping the .asf files, but Orbit is probably the best program I've used for embedded file downloading.

Anyway, my top 3 songs are:

1. Above All Boundaries -- Arctures

2. Karahana -- CJV

3. Moholithic Filter -- Scott Fisher, a feature in Fruity Loops 6 and 7. No link. :(

You can download Above All Boundaries, so rejoice! Karahana will require a media rip. Karahana is Psytrance, so you may not like it the first time you hear it unless you like Psytrance a lot. It's good for dance; you gotta let it progress to get to the good stuff.

The other song; you'll have to try and google or something. Moholithic Filter is Melodic Trance, but is suitable for dancing.

Verka Serduchka

A fellow Ukrainian artists :P It's quite pleasing to know that some of them are known abroad. Nonetheless I would prefer if it weren't Verka for his rather...disputable reputation.

My all-time favourite (I have lots but this came to my head) is "Die Roboter" by Kraftwerk.

Eh I don't really like Daft Punk. Like I said before, I'm more into music produced by unsigned Indie Artists and such, which Acid Planet is full of.

Anyway, one artist in particular that you should check out is The Rain Crow. He mainly does Psytrance, but he has a few progressive trance songs on his profile:

http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?So ... 937&t=6970

He also has two "trip hop" genres, which are down tempo songs, but I dunno if you like that stuff. Both of those songs are very good though, especially Levitation Device. "It's kind of like the songs that Linkin Park put in Hybrid Theory and Meteora that are just flat out music and no singing, and it's all done by their DJ Hann."

Anyway, Rain Crow doesn't really offer anything for download except one song, but it's not that great. :?
But, you can always use Orbit or any similar program to rip the media files, then use a converter like imTOO Audio Encoder to convert the .asf to .mp3 and the like. :D
