Old industrial building footage[uploading ready]

Postby punky on Sun Feb 24, 2008 9:32 am

Where I live is an abandoned printing office; its a huge and really impressive building and its going to be renovated or maybe demolished to make a big shopping mall and apartment complex out of it.
So my dad who makes reportages for our city went there (it was the last chance people had to make footage of the building because its almost collapsing)
I thought this footage could be really useful for us level-designers (because it gave me a huge inspiration/creativity boost when I first saw it.
!I know that the video is low-res but it was made so it could fit in a small space of the website of our city, and if I uploaded the original footage it would be a few gigs big...!

Okay, the video is ready but I won't be able to upload it on youtube now because the filesize is way to big (146MB...) So I am now uploading it on megaupload, I'll post the link as soon the uploading is ready( it will take one and a half hour to upload though...)
I will also try to upload a smaller version on youtube this evening.
Here is a little screenshot in the meantime:

Can u upload it somewhere else? I've been trying to get it from megaupload for 2 days, but there is stil no available slots for my country...
Maybe rapidshare is better option then i can make direct http mirror.

compress to .rar and choose 100mb parts in the split options then u can upload it to rapidshare and everywhere.
Edit: finally im downloading it now ill setup a mirror and post the link latter
edit2: i dont want to let you down, but how did u managed to get such low quality video from 2,2mbps bitrate(divx movies uses below 1mbps)? There are alot of useful places that can be used in map, but its very hard to see the details because it looks almost like cartoon
edit3: and here is the mirror i promised.
