See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clever_Hans. I thought this was required reading in school. Plus it was in an episode of Simpsons.
Hans was a horse owned by a Mr. von Osten, [...]. Hans was taught to add, subtract, multiply, divide, work with fractions, tell time, keep track of the calendar, differentiate musical tones, and read, spell, and understand German.

I've read about that somewhere before, I think it was a fake. The horse's owner was poking the horse or something at the right time, and when the horse reacted, it looked like it was actually doing things that made sense. Of course it was somewhat more complicated than that, but fake nonetheless.

I'm 100% sure that the elephant is capable to make this extraordinary painting, and i most say the elephant paints really good, better then me with out doubt.

And even CREMATOR666 that is from thailand confirms that it's not a fake.

Anyone that have a clue how much a painting like this will cost?

You can train most sentient living beings to repeat an action over and over again with sufficient punishment/reward. This video may or may not be fake but either way the thing that makes it exciting is 'fake' because it's not the elephant 'expressing' itself. It's just the elephant running through a set of actions it has been trained, probably in a fairly brutal fassion, to repeat.

There's not much difference between this and the old training elephants to ballance on balls or chairs etc that they used to do in the circus.

That's what we we're saying. You can really train an elephant to look like it's painting a picture, even when it doesn't know what it's doing. If you teach your dog how to fetch the newspaper from the driveway it doesn't mean he knows how to read or cares who's going win the election.
