It was for SPC ECO, the latest project of Dean Garcia, formerly of the band Curve.
The long and the short of it is that this guy has been a bit of a hero of mine ever since I was a spotty teenager and to get the chance to do a remix of one of his tunes was very cool.
What's even more cool is that I appear to have 'won' the competition!
All I win is to be on the remix player, but look who I'm sharing it with.. Tim Holmes from Death in Vegas... Blimey.
Just the fact that Dean e-mailed me to say how much he liked my take on the track and that he'd buy me a beer at the next gig is worth a hell of a lot to me! Definitly a high point in my life
Though the band are unsigned as yet, Dean has high hopes. The tracks are being given the once over by Alan Moulder and then being touted around to every man and his dog. Fingers crossed to them.
