Audacity problems

Not positive this is the correct thread. But my recorder is totally effed up. I cant record songs in good quality Nor any other sound. It has totally crapped out on me. So yeah audacity is dead for me now. Is there any HD what you hear is what you GET kind of recorder?
Audacity used to be the shiz but now its brokeded lol.

Not sure if this will help, but try using Goldwave. It's free and it's better than Audacity anyway.

Personally, I use a program called Reaper. Once again, also free, is a complete DAW and hosts VSTi's unlike goldwave and audacity (VST is NOT VSTi)

Its donationware, so after 30 days you get a 6 second startup splash screen, but thats it. Very nice and high quality program. MUCHMUCHMUCH better then audacity.
