Off the top of my head:

A Scanner Darkly
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
The Green Mile
Pulp Fiction
In Bruges
Sin City
The Shining
Donnie Darko
The Shawshank Redemption

I'll be back with more when I think of them. I'd also like to agree with Megadude on The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Blekk with the Hot Shots and Naked Gun films.

Minority Report

That was a fun film... Oh and, you have to watch I Am Legend: Director's Cut <-- That version makes sense.

Huntey's top 5:

1.High Fidelity. (2000) My utmost favourite John Cusack film, and also starring some well known names including Jack Black. Utterly superb in every way/shape/form.

2. Being John Malcovich. (1999) I'll be honest. I like John Cusack.

3. The Fifth Element. (1997) I don't know anyone who hasn't seen this, so it's probably pointless to bring it up, but as far as entertaining films go, this is way up there.

4. Young Frankenstein. (1974) Classic black and white hilarity with Gene Wilder. Werewolf! There wolf!

5. Back to the Future part 1. (1985) The entire series was simply awesome, even the oftenly dissed third one. So difficult to choose my fifth, but Back to the Future just takes it. Other choices would have been Blade Runner (1982), Blazing Saddles (1974), Shawshank Redemption (1994), This is Spinal Tap (1984), Ghostbusters (1984) or Pulp Fiction (1994).

Get some popcorn.

No suggestion's pointless! Keep the films coming, no matter how obvious they may seem :-)

The Hunt for Red October
The Great Escape
Bridge over the River Kwai
Equilibrium
The Living Daylights
Children of Men
Tombstone

But earlier, V for Vendetta was mentioned. I thought it was an entertaining film, but beyond that it was an affront to my intelligence. They took a complex work(Alan Moore's comic) and adapted it to relate to modern events, while leaving out most of the character development in favor of political commentary.

Man in the Iron Mask, Love Actually, 5th Element, KungFu Panda, WallE, Music&Lyrics, Pride and Prejudice, and any other soppy romcom you can think of.
I like them, okay!

Oh, and the Chorus.

Sounds good to me :P Love it, but I never knew about the comics before so maybe Im... well in another position. It was a great idea to relate it to modern events anyways, imo.

A lot of good films mentioned here, no point in writing those again, hope these havent been before:

Children of Men
Shoot Em Up
Boondock Saints
The Game
Meet the Feebles (but be sure to be hyperactive on tiredness and/or drunk)
Thunderheart
Dead Man
12 Monkeys

ehm and a lot more!

Pride and Prejudice? :D sry couldnt let that go :P To each his own.

I know a few of them have already been said but I have to second Fifth Element, High Fidelity, Brazil, Twelve Monkeys and Children Of Men. Quality films.
