That's right you cheap bastards, my first album is out, FOR FREE.

Chemical Factory is a showcase of my progression in skills as an electronica artist. Some of my earliest songs are included in this track, but I promise you they aren't utter shit. :)

Direct Download Alternative - Big thanks to cdxx

I just now realized that I made one archive a zip and the other a rar. Fail.

Enjoy.

I've heard most of these songs. I can tell which ones are your old ones when even I recognize the basic FL synths. Newer ones are awesome. Excellent job Nub. Game soundtrack now!

Please next time use a different download site like rapidshare, that one's all ad's and popups and download button that rarely works.

Anyway, I'm downloadin now and will post back once I've given it a listen. I remember liking your stuff though as I recall it was a bit harder than my personal tastes (I'm more into 'chillout' and 'psybient' kinda stuff)

...Mediafire did that to you? Whenever I download from mediafire, I'm taken straight to the download page, and the button works fine for me. It does pop up a couple of ads, but they gotta keep their site running somehow. I use Mediafire since it's one of the better free registry upload sites. I used to use box.net but the limits were too low. Mediafire is the best I can find for now. I would use rapidshare but I want to be able to keep my files forever.

Anyway, you'll definitely like my next album if mellow music is your thing. I've been making a lot of that. You can listen to some of my music at my myspace profile, or you can go to my acid planet profile if you prefer.

Ya some of these tracks are quite nice. For your next release can I suggest standardizing to 256k, naming the tracks in an order (like 01 - blah blah, etc.), having it all in one rar, and including a pls file?

Looking forward to the next one.

Mediafire works fine for me, too. Gotta love Firefox running NoScript ;).

I'll give it a listen and report back.

What's wrong with 320k? Isn't that better quality?

And yeah, I totally forgot to number the tracks. :-D

I guess it's better quality ya, though does it make a big difference in quality relative to the increased size? I'm not much of an audiophile. Anyway, is your next albume a matter of weeks or years?

Can't you use Myspace or LastFM?
There's even FileFront if you really think about it :P

Anyways, I'm downloading it now - so I'll be back with C&C depending if I liked it or not. Electronica isn't my precise genre, so it takes something completely unique and personal to get me into it. Then I'm the damn Techno Viking >:D

---edit;

Yeah, not really my bag of music. Nothing I would sit around and listen to solo - but the work would fit perfectly as ambiance for levels and scenes though!

I do have Myspace. I forgot to post it in the OP. However, only a couple of the songs in the album are on my profile, but you can hear some songs from my next one.

I appreciate you taking the time to listen to it. I understand if it doesn't appeal to you though, that's how music is.

I'm listening to this now, and it's really good, nub! You might want to consider going the way of Hamster Alliance and just putting your stuff out for free, it'll be better for publicity than you'd think :)

Good stuff, I can't stand FL though, its fun for making beats with but its midi recording is absolutely terrible.

I'm going to make a lot of tracks for it, but hopefully sometime in this year I will have it out. I started Chemical Factory ages ago and the reason it took a few years to make is because I was a beginner from the start of the album. The idea of my next album is to use the skills I have learned and apply them as much as possible to create more interesting tracks (based off my style). That's where it gets the name "Experiment on Experience."

To most people, the difference from 224k to 320k might be very subtle and almost unnoticed, but there certainly is a difference. I compiled one my recent songs at 224k so it would be small enough for Newgrounds, and some of the synths weren't as crisp and were kind of muffled by the lower bitrate. It didn't break the song or anything though, and you might notice the difference if you don't have experience with sound. I myself am not a genius about sound or music. In fact I'm probably a dunce when it comes to the terminology of music making, I just make stuff as a hobby with Fruity Loops and that's it. I don't use any hardware other than my computer.

And as for FL Studio, Mky, I never used MIDI recording, but a lot of people tell me it is in fact not very good. I simply use 3rd party VSTi plugins and libraries to make my music. But FL Studio is a great sequencer, and one of the best to make beats with. It's a fantastic program to start out with, and it's still useful in many aspects for professionals in my opinion. I've tried so hard to use other programs like Reason and Sony Acid, but the layout is so confusing for me. That's another reason why I prefer FL Studio; it's user-friendly.

PS: Thanks for the direct download links, cdxx. I added them to the first post for people to use as an alternative to Mediafire.

Back to Basics, are we?

I suggest instead of going electronica with FL Studio, you invest into actually buying a keyboard and make some funky beats with that. Techno may be fine, but hell if it is restricting.
