TF2 poster competition

So there's a contest for "propoganda posters" for TF2, and I just wanted to show off what I made in the last hour or so while avoiding the raging inferno that is the Steam Forums.

I'll work a bit more of a stylized version tomorrow. I don't have G-mod, so this was all done the "hard way" with the SDK tools and photoshop. (How do you fix those goddamn "flamey" texture blotches in the model viewer stuff again?) It's based on this poster. I really wanted to get in some sort of jab about spawncamping in there, and that seemed like the best one to parody.

I could watermark it, I guess, but if it came down to proving it was mine I still have all the original screenshots etc to show how it was assembled.

I wish I knew what kind of poster they wanted. The examples suggest something T-shirt-able, but it's not really clearly spelled out.

I realized my original copy/paste somehow cut off part of the Demoman's uniform, so I covered it up with a sticky-launcher and tried to emphasize the "respawn" sign and teeth as separate from lip. Fixed those weird model-viewer blotches a bit.

You guys and your watermarks make me wonder if I should have used one, either way I'm reposting mine here.



I really hope they look at all submissions, especially since they'll have a weekend's worth of backlog to look through.

Well, it's a long-shot, but if someone does copy it and submit it to take credit... I'd rather deter them than have to fight about it. And you can't claim rightful credit if Valve doesn't put all of the prizewinners up for viewing, since you won't know yours was used.

I cba to make a poster but I really want someone to make one with the solider riding the lockness monster. With the slogan "Show them red team ladies who is boss" or something.

IF ONLY there was someone with the exact opposite problem as me, we could team up and make a swell entry.
