AVATAR

Postby CaptrTheBag on Tue Dec 29, 2009 4:16 am

I thought Avatar by James Cameron was one of the best films I have ever seen in my life personally, not because of the amazing effects and CGI in IMAX 3D, but because the story was so compelling and moving along the way. This film is definitely ground breaking in the industry and I have a feeling it will change the way we view film through the rest of our life. If you are planning to see it, watch in IMAX and in 3D. It's worth the extra money!

watching Avatar is exactly like watching someone else play a video game....and about as much fun

So-so

Still looking to go see it in 3D, but the story wasn't anything special.

The reason big-budget productions tend to be hailed as so good are because those who don't go to the cinema often or are enthusiasts tend to only see those. Groundbreaking?

I liked it, but i did catch myself more looking at the 3d art than at the film itself. The story is decent till you figure out you're actually watching an adult version of Pocahontas.

It was pretty cool, epic battles and such. Great graphics. Decent story. I think it was worth the money.

Liked it.

Was alright. I liked the imagination but the whole American stereotype with the army dude and the convenience of a treee that can swap bodies was a bit meh.

Overall pretty good and definitely deserves praise in the art section but story wise is average and the 3D version felt tacked on. Maybe because it was my first time seeing a cinema film in 3D but it seriously hurt my eyes at the start and then they stopped using it nearer the end so twas strange.

Avatar 2? Probably. I predict Clone Wars galore.

Avatar 2. The humans come back and nuke Pandora from orbit...

If humans have mastered space travel and cryogenics I'm pretty sure they'd have more capable weaponry than shown in the film. Still it's definetly worth watching in fact I watched it twice, but only because the second time I was able to watch it in 3D.
