Hard to tell which are my "all time favourites", but these movies are the ones who've made the most impression on me (in no specific order):

  • The Matrix
  • Fight Club
  • Gladiator
  • Braveheart
  • Batman Begins
  • The Dark Knight
  • Avatar (Yes, I like Avatar, flame me if you must)
  • V For Vendetta
  • Children of Men
  • American History X
  • Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
  • Indiana Jones 1-4

Probably forgot some, but I'm tired and don't really care.

Seriously, though, 5th Element is up there, I can watch it over and over again and it never gets old.

Yes, Bruce Willis looked like a bad ass in the rubber orange tank top. It was a pretty awesome movie, though.

Most of your lists are pretty inclusive of mine. One movie I'm surprised hasn't surfaced would be Gran Torino. Or am I the only one that really liked this movie? Some additions:

Taken
Secondhand Lions
Swordfish
The Count of Monte Cristo
I am Legend

I liked Gran Torino too. Here's my list, of what I can remember. I probably forgot a ton of movies. I attempted a chronological listing but I'm not sure what to place first.

Låt den rätte komma in
Pan's Labyrinth
Blade Runner
A Clockwork Orange
Requiem for a Dream
28 Days Later
Hurt Locker
American History X
Full Metal Jacket
American Beauty

I see some have included tv series, so I'll do the same: (Chronological)
The Wire
Breaking Bad
Rome
Sopranos

Unbreakable
Rudy
Layer Cake
5th Element (thanks vcool for reminding me of that one)
Lord of the Rings, all of them...
Super Troopers

That's all I can think of for now...
