Hello Everyone!

Postby jakemaheu on Thu Jun 18, 2009 6:52 pm

Hi there everyone. I'm Jake, and I've been reading the forums for quite some time, but decided to register finally.

I'm 15, run my own website, and map. I'm currently trying to get a grasp on modeling, but I'm not having much luck >.<

Anyways, I just wanted to stop in and say hi.

How come all the people named Jake always have Jake in their forum names...

That sounds fantastic Jake. A website will come in handy when you need to post screenshots of your work, but dont' forget the Interlopers portfolio too. There's also modelling tutorials here if you need help with that. Best of luck! :smt004

Welcome to 'lopers! Just a heads up on your website - higher resolutions mean that there's a blank gap on the right hand side of your site, where the background image isn't large enough.

Anyway, welcome! Hope you stick around.

I have noticed that gapping on the background image, but it comes with a tradeoff; If the image is too big, people with lower resolutions miss out on parts of the image.

I'm considering changing it to one that can be tiled, though.
