Hi there from a HL1 mapper

Postby Souleh on Sun Oct 25, 2009 4:21 am

Hi guys

Ive been mapping for several years now for the origional HL1 engine and recently made the move to source.
What can I say.. wow! Such a different approach to game design between the engines!

Some of my older HL1 maps

Now started mapping for L4D and trying to make the move to source..

This is my first map so far

This map is still very early on and not alot in it so far is finished!
Alot of brushwork to go nevermind working on the rest of the maps ambience and style.

Cheers for reading

You're really good at HL1 mapping. I understand there's some trouble with getting used to the new scaling and possibilities of newer engines, but I'm sure with time you'll be a valued artist. Don't forget to check us out on Steam. There are always people in our group chat that can help you.

Thanks guys! Ill add you on steam aswell

Scaling certainly seems to be my biggest problem through force of habit working with the origional engine!
