I was 12 when I started mapping, (Now I'm 15) and I've loved every bit of it!
Just a tip: I think you'll find eventually that the hardest part of mapping is seeing an idea, whether it be a level, a scene, or anything else, to the end. I'm sure you'll find many mappers here who have uncompleted maps all over there hard drive...

So how do you avoid this? Well, I find the best way is to draw out your maps on paper (I have an idea book) and just sketch random idea's you get. Also, try and look at the way other people do there maps, and try and draw ideas and inspiration from them!
