Hi, I'm Trupanzine. I'm 14, but I dont want that to deter anybody. I'm looking to start mapping soon and hopefully become a part of this community. I dont know what to write here really, so I'm just gonna leave this a blank from now on.

Trupanzine out.

Hey!

I was 12 when I started mapping, (Now I'm 15) and I've loved every bit of it!

Just a tip: I think you'll find eventually that the hardest part of mapping is seeing an idea, whether it be a level, a scene, or anything else, to the end. I'm sure you'll find many mappers here who have uncompleted maps all over there hard drive... :P

So how do you avoid this? Well, I find the best way is to draw out your maps on paper (I have an idea book) and just sketch random idea's you get. Also, try and look at the way other people do there maps, and try and draw ideas and inspiration from them! :D

Anyway, enough rambling... Welcome to interlopers!

I've said this many times before, the best inspiration for video games comes from the 'real world.'

I remember climbing around in an abandoned cement factory as it was in the process of being turned into a water park and I swear to god some of the underground areas were straight from HL. Once we broke into a campus construction site, atlas center I think? Went into the sub sub basement which is just a small dirt cave with sump pumps...

LIFE = Learning.

GL!
