Hay gais

Postby RKD on Sat Apr 30, 2011 3:24 am

Hey, I've been stumbling upon interlopers for a while now. Looking at map threads for inspiration and tutorials.

I have 2/3 years self-taught experience of Photoshop, some experience with Illustrator, After Effects, and Dreamweaver. I also have a good experience of mapping with source.

Screens of some work with hammer:

A really big no-no would be changing the color/contrast/brightness of the original screenshot. Vignette and grain don't really change the scene.

Grain does, vignette adds contrast.

Armageddon, I can't se how it is wrong if he tells how he did it. We all just want to create somekind of art don't we? Though you are right in many situations but maybe not in his introducing post? :)

Anyway. Welcome and your maps do seems cool. Get abit of portal 2 feelings from that first map when I look at it :)

Its only a "BIG no-no" if you don't tell anyone and then lie about using it. Its really obvious that the grain and other effects aren't part of source.
