I made dumb posts about "mods" where I'd sit around saying I had content, but I had nothing, then I'd make sales pitches that could be delivered by a walrus with obvious mental difficulties.
Now I'd say I'm a pretty cool guy, so for anyone who's semi-interested, here's some stuff about me:
- I DM for a local D&D group, in my home town. (Here's the forum I started last night). I might be starting an online game if you're interested in that kind of thing. I used Invision Free because it was late at night and I wanted something quick, so we could move away from a Facebook group.
I'm now working my way towards studying Comp Sci. in university.
I play guitar.
I've got a crappy band, who haven't released any music yet; The Escapades of an Overturned Turtle.
I write a completely unnoticed blog post, every time I feel like it.
I make short films, when I have the time.
I write short stories, and I have a novel I'm working on.
I'd like to get back into mapping for the Source engine, because I haven't done it in a while, and it was always a little fun.
I've made a start on some crappy, crappy Lua for a gamemode, based in Gmod, for a second time! The last time got swept away when my Windows partition broke, and I had to bum around on Linux without being able to test it in-game. Then I forgot about it.
The gamemode so far has a blocky, grey UI (for testing; at this point, I didn't want to get a good start on it until I had time. Namely, my next set of holidays), two classes to play as (I plan on having 3), and was actually inspired by dungeon crawling games. It eventually spiralled into yet another class-based shooter, with probably 0 twist. I've run into a few problems, but I'm working through them at my own, lazy pace.
The basic premise is that you have a ranged class, a support class, and a class that delivers damage from mid-close range. The support class will have the option of hanging back a bit, and launching supplies into the battlefield with the gravgun (that's just an idea I had when I was brainstorming with a friend), while the ranged class and damage class get to be incredibly bored, going back and forth between their camping spots and cover.
I'll sort out the boredom factor later.
Otherwise, after that rant that I assume no one was really that interested in: hi!
I'm The Jukebox! I like paragraphs and line-breaks!
