Arg... the solution to the problem has been to delete our DLLs. This however means we need to start our code... again.
God damn it, the crap Valve have caused with these updates is unbearably frustrating. Once I've finished my current project I'm never using a Valve engine for modding again, the hassle caused is ridiculous. UDK seems to be so much more enticing.

You guys don't need to start you code again just change the gameinfo.txt and restart steam. The fix in the second post works fine.

Different people are in very different situations, and that solution did not work for me, nor did rebuilding my code or anything.

This works fine with all the mods I have test which is the singleplayer mod and the template mod. The only thing I can think you are doing wrong is you have you mod set to use the 2009 engine, when it should be the 2007 engine.

I had this problem, check your gameinfo.txt steamappid, if you changed it to 420 for Hammer, change it back to what it was before running the game.

I also made sure HL2 Ep2 was up to date and ran it as well.

Lol. Forgot about this post, but everything now works for me. I reinstalled everything after I moved house (And subsequently decided to move to Win64 bit after I found out my processor was 64bit... lol) and it worked fine for my mod and everything listed under 2009. Except, no code... 2009 doesn't have any mod code what so ever yet so I'm just running the Ep2 binaries on their own until it becomes available. Not that I've done any coding yet.
