Grid Snaps To >1 Unit

Postby Starving Hobo on Wed Aug 25, 2010 1:02 am

Would be the best thing to happen to hammer. The ability to be able to bring grid size all the way down to 0.1 units. When I want to make very thin brushes, they are really hard to work with. Is it possible to make something like this for Hammer?

Oh and under 1 unit grid size, every unit's border could be yellow to avoid confusion, or something like that. It would probably be a temporary use thing, where you switch to the tiny grid, size things up, snap tiny this together and then go back to the normal grid.

One of the reason why 1 grid unit is the limit would be because its better to have a model or a decal for anything thinner (having a >1 unit thick wall is absurd) so yeah, I don't really see the point for it.

Although technically all you'd need to do is make everything 10 times bigger, when you're done select all and scale it to 0.1 on all axis and you get the end result in the current hammer. If you want to edit, select all, scale 10 and enjoy the life. I don't suggest doing it though, because it's pointless and can cause microbrushes error.
