MultiPlayer mod Half Life2 DM compilation problem

Hi, I had previously Half life 2 and I always got disabled option for multiplayer mod in source SDK. I saw from the forum to download free half life 2 DM http://www.steampowered.com/nvidia/# as some 1 claimed that I can have multiplayer option enbaled after that and it actually did. I have a complete game in single player and I want to port it on multiplayer. Now the problem is whenever I try to compile my multiplayer mod it only makes client.dll and not server.dll. I don't understand what is the problem. Why it can't compile Does any one have an idea? I am not using orange box but Source SDK. I also feel maybe i just downloaded it as a free version thats why this problem is occurring but I am not sure. I also need suggestion if I should buy orange box to make my multiplayer mod work or buy anything else to make it work?I will appreciate if anybody could help me in this.

Ok i was getting an error
1>.\hl2mp\grenade_tripmine.cpp(276) : error C2039: 'OnTakeDamage_Alive' : is not a member of 'CBaseGrenade'
1> c:\Users\Nicholas\Documents\XWDeathmatch\src\game\shared\basegrenade_shared.h(32) : see declaration of 'CBaseGrenade'

you just have to change one piece of code and compile all over again and it will work
