Flipping viewmodels?

Hello.

So i followed the valve developer wiki on flipping viewmodels. And it didnt work. Is there a way to make css weapons switch from left handed to right handed? If so, how? Please not - I'm a coding noob so I can't fully understand alot of the stuff so please make it simple.

Do you want to do this in a mod, or actually in cs:s?

EDIT: Just tried it in the CS:S Beta. cl_righthand (0-1) works. It mirrors the view model

Its for a mod. Why would I want to change it in css?

Right, now that is established.
Which base are you working from? Then i can find the right command.
Do you want to do it to just one certain weapon, or all the player's weapons?

I would like to have it for specific weapons but its o.k. to have it for all weapons. Also, i'm using ep2 base. sorry for the confusion, i mean css viewmodels.

I know the sdk template mod has the option to do this by changing an option in the weapon's script file.
And my base i meant which option did you pick on the create a mod. Sorry

ok so they say add BuiltRightHanded "0" and AllowFlipping "1" to the weapon script but that never works. And for base, its ep2 singleplayer.

That does work, you didn't do it right.

Did you comment out #ifdef CSTRIKE_DLL in the places the tutorial asked?

That looks like its made for the ep1 engine (vanilla hl2?). Such as instead of #ifdef CSTRIKE_DLL, it shows #if defined( CSTRIKE_DLL ) || defined ( SDK_DLL )

it doesn't matter, commenting out the #ifdef means the code will be used, otherwise it isn't compiled. Are you sure the dlls are copying and compiling correctly? ie, is this the first change you've tried to make to the code?
