About me
I started mapping 4 years ago and did not know a thing about it. But in about 1 year I became very familiar with Source SDK and Hammer. I have made many maps but have only released two of them (currently working a 3rd map). I mostly work with GunGame style maps, but im starting to work with bomb objective maps. I am a member of FPSBanana but im thinking of moving here. Mostly because Interlopers seems to be more professional and more organized.

School
I am currently attending Connellsville Area High School. I plan do go to college (dont know where yet) and earn a degree in Computer Repair.

Sports
I am on my school's Track team. At which I run Long Distance Ex. 800m and 1600m

Skills
Hammer (Intermediate), Gimp (Intermediate), Photoshop (Intermediate), and Video Editing and Recording (Beginner)

Mods
Currently I have never worked for a mod. But will gladly join for help.
*Note (Since I am in school I will not be able to work at a rapid pace)

Well written, but it does need pictures or video of previous work. That's the main reason for portfolios, to show your skill.

Fortunately for you, you're still 15 years old and already into this sort of thing.
I think I started rather late at age 18 or so.
All the best to you and don't stop learning / working on stuff. You'll get there.

x1 Agree. Just start practicing on better lighting and better brush work/ Detailing. Check out some valve maps to get better!

That's a good article to read on "color theory"

Don't want to sound overly critical, but these maps look like they belong more on fpsbanana that in a portfolio.
Take care and time crafting levels - don't just do killboxes.

Try doing something a bit less simple and symmetrical... Minimalism only goes so far.

You REALLY need to work on making your maps look less blocky and bland. Bit of detail wouldn't go amiss. Go back to one of the non-orange maps and spend a couple of days fleshing it out and putting in some props changing up the brushwork a bit, maybe learn the advanced lighting techniques and stick a bit of that in there. You have to think you are trying to first and foremost create a believable world, look at your pictures and ask if they create a believable world when you look at them? If not, why not? Then the answers to these questions are what you need to work on.
