Free Javascript Editors?

Postby unclep4ul on Tue Mar 25, 2008 10:06 pm

Having aquired a free copy of vista at the VS 2008 launch event, I decided it would be worth trying out as it was the same day SP1 was released. I was pleasantly suprised, so decided I would create a sidebar gadget!

Unfortunatley my javascript is piss poor having only used it to hook into google maps before, and I am having some troubles getting things working.

So, can anybody point me in the direction of a good editor that will highligh syntax errors etc?

EDIT: I AM AN IDIOT

I just remembered, VS 2008 will provide support for editing javascript! Good job I was paying attention at the launch :P :P

If it's any help I use Notepad++ for writing it and then Firebug to view it. It will highlight any javascript errors in a console and also allow you to run commands direct through it. Very handy.

Ohhh, Firebug looks nice! Cheers for that.
