Lightbox image alignment question

Yet another web related question from me.

I have just implemented lightbox on my site with thumbnails ,and it's working quite nicely. However, the top row of images do not sit horizontally aligned. The same happens with my portfolio thread.

What's the deal with this? Is this how it is actually meant to look, or is there some way I can change that to have them all aligned?

I edited your portfolio page, you put a return after every image which breaks it.

Sorry, I'm still quite the n00b when it comes to web development.

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean by a 'return'? Can you explain a bit more? Or anyone else who understands...I tried to Google it but I'm not sure what I'm looking for really.

I've tried fiddling around no-end with my own site but still get that same old error.
