IE6 and transparent PNG's. How best to solve?

Postby abathor on Sat Jul 25, 2009 10:58 am

I have tried the supersleight javascript fix, but that breaks my image links, and also have tried the unitpng fix but it totally wrecks my layout. I've tried a couple of other methods using htm files and transparent gifs but that acheived nothing whatsoever. In the ideal world, I wouldn't even have to support this piece of shit browser, but I do, so if anyone can tell me how they do it, or has any ideas, I'd greatly appreciate it!

The two that I have used in the past are:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bobosola/
and
http://www.twinhelix.com/css/iepngfix/

The second one, I have used most recently, and it worked just fine on multiple sites.

Or you can simply put a warning that says, "F* You, get rid of that shitty browser." Personally, I agree with Zeldman, us developers should simply stop support such an antiquated piece of shit, and force everyone to upgrade.

That 'iepngfix' worked a treat! Thanks Frips! I'd been pulling my hair out up until now! :smt023
