My approach towards companies looking for specialists: Make your portfolio 80% on lets say level design and 20% on modeling/texturing. Focus on your strength but show them you're interested in other fields as well..

VERY useful stuff. Much appreciated. And grey space not being fully used, gotcha.

I wouldn't use Lightbox. It's kinda annoying for most people which is why I changed my portfolio so all the images of the level were displayed on one page.

What about this:

http://highslide.com/

It doesn't have the Prev / Next I wanted but it loads really fast compared to that one I see on most sites with the stylish enlarge and the flash and all that.

Ok so I did some changes today but I didn't do much as I have work to do but these are changes based on what people have said over at TWHL and some here.

I'm gonna work on the banner and grey bit more to make them more fancy.

Alrighty well I've done some minor edits again tonight but nothing special. I've decided to upload the PSD in case anyone with better artistic ability wants to mess around with it:

http://www.upload.habboi.co.uk/portfolio.rar

*edit: Any more advice? One guy over at TWHL said that the drop shadows need to go or at least be heavily edited as it screams of 2 minute Photoshop job.

He also said I shouldn't use Env Modeller and should instead use Level Designer although am I right in saying that Env Modeller is an actual role and that they model stuff to make a level pretty that has been laid out by the level designers? I got the title from the slideshow that Psy posted and I've always thought it was called a "Prop Modeller" and before Zip marches in here with "IT'S ONE L" I prefer it with two and my googling has proven neither are right or wrong.

It's spelled with one L.

And if you're trying to get hired to make environmental props, textures and possibly detailing level designers levels then you're looking for Environmental Artist.

It is two L(s) anyway zip is right about one thing that you want to put env artist as your preferred job.

Probably stupid but Environment"AL" or Environment Artist. Google likes Environment but I like Environmental for it's completeness. Anyway I updated the above pic with the title.

Other than that any other feedback because I'll be working on layout for other pages next and then after that I don't know. Coding wise not very confident but I can try.

Are you a blue-blooded Englishman or a Patriotic American?

Well if you send me the psd somehow I can whip up some code for you tomorrow (for this front page). I can't do tonight as I need to get up early in the morning and I have been slacking on all my work.
