doesnt play that well on my comp,13 fps, now i have a crappy Graphics card but i have 50 - 60 at de_dust on max settings

Hmm, that's strange. We've tested it on a machine with 512mb ram and an X800XT AGP video card and averaged around 22 fps. The map does have a lot of high resolution textures so it might be a memory bandwidth issue.

heck ya, nice map

good

-the displacement caves are amazing.

-you can jump off the waterfall!

-great soundscape, it has a nice balance. Not too loud so that you can't hear footsteps, but still enough to maintain the mood and setting

-I really like the river run. I'm so ingrained with video game cliche that as soon as i saw the river i assumed you wouldn't be able to go thru it. nice too see a section of the map like that playable.

-neat green roof on the house by the falls.

-Nice outdoor environment, i really like the scale


bad

-detail props in the skybox

-fps drops significantly in some spots.

-A couple long stretches of map with few playable areas.

All in all a solid map. :smt023

2 questions

-How long did it take to make?

-Do you know of any servers running it?

Very beautifull, very nice. Well done! three small crits:

The texturing in "The Back way" is really poorly done and quite strange looking.

There is only one bombsite, you should have labelled it "Bombsite" rather than "Bombsite A" (possible? I don't know anything about de_ mapping)

You shoulda let me fall further down the waterfall/cliffs before dying :D


There is also one major, showstopping flaw in this map. One that durns it from an A- to an F+....

i dont want this to spin totally off topic, but ill answer that..i like immersive games (rules out RTS) that have alot of action (rules out counter-strile).
