What an extraordinary map! The whole time I was grinning from ear to ear. I have to commend you on your very well designed puzzles. They made logical sense while remaining challenging. I appreciate games that use make you use your head. The first video game I played was Myst on a Power Macintosh 5200 when I was 5 years old. It really shaped the way I viewed video games. It doesn't have to be gratuitous explosions followed by blood and gore.

There were times when I knew what had to be done, but I didn't know how to get there. I just took a step back and examined the situation and the answer became apparent. This is challenging to do. Most puzzle maps are very arbitrary but yours made total sense. I really hope to see more from you. This is the most fun I've have playing a single player game in some time.

Excelent map, i enjoyed the change of pace. I was wondering however how you got the ep2 cables to work like you did at the very begining, its something that has mysterfied me for a while now and i know its going to be something bloody obvious.

but other than that very well done

Hey matt - perhaps THE best mod I've seen for HL2 (but that's always a question of taste) - I just wanted to point out that the train ride becomes a bit glitchy with the grenades. In one instance, I found myself being catapulted by a grenade, into the center of that map section - surrounded by houses - but clearly outside the map. This happened in the first train ride section, where you circle around the combine who are throwing grenades at you.

Cheers,

Finally got around to actually playing the mod this afternoon. I'm fairly sure I have an older version (or you just never got around to repairing stuff) because a fair few flaws/bugs I noticed were mentioned on the first few pages of this thread.

Still, that aside, this is a fantastic little mod. Nice to see some originality in the puzzles too. Well thought out and constructed, even if a few were a bit frustrating and meant I had to resort to trial and error a few times (such as the grav gun recharge station).

Just duplicated the gameinfo.txt from the SDK Base 2013 and it should work perfectly. Obviously change the name of it and such. That's how most people are doing it.

I can attest to that. From 2006 till 2013 I used to create a room and perhaps a hallway, realized Hammer is complicated and forget about it. It's only been a couple of months since I've actually been progressing a lot with mapping. Better late then never.
