This map was created as an entry for the Facepunch "Above the Sky" mapping contest. It's style is based on a
late 19th century style brick industrial warehouse. How it ended up in the cold vacuum of space is anyone's guess.

This map is not intended for gameplay purposes, and is only meant to be viewed as "eye candy."

The name of this map is derived from a famous Greek philosopher who was a pupil of Socrates. He was noted for his development of
concepts dealing with idealism and Cynicism. More can be read about him in this article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antisthenes

THIS MAP REQUIRES THAT YOU HAVE HALF-LIFE 2: EPISODE 2 INSTALLED IN ORDER TO VIEW IT PROPERLY!

To install this map open the directory of C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\(Steam Profile)\half-life 2 episode two\ep2
Next, copy and paste the "Maps" and the "Materials" folders into the directory previously mentioned.

After you have started Episode 2, go into OPTIONS>KEYBOARD>ADVANCED than check the box enabling console.
Next, close out of the options menu and type in "map Antisthenes" (you do not need quotation marks.)

This map can also be successfully opened in Garrys Mod if Episode 2 is installed and mounted.

Dunno, there are quite a few aspects of this which I would class as lazy.

Filling the building with containers, for example, or having those concrete pipes just go into the displacement, making it clear they're not actually continuing under the warehouse.
The exterior lighting is also very bland, almost to the point of it looking fullbright which is a real shame as the space theme should give you license to be extremely creative in this area.
It's a neat idea, but overall is pretty bland.

What did you compile with? The lighting looks like said almost like fullbright/fast.
It's a nice idea, I like it.
But remove the containers, add something else in there and fix the bottom of the rock with more.. rock like materials?

give it an actual light source and it will be 10 times more interesting to look at

The textures are repetitive. Okay, I know that warehouses are pretty dull looking in real life, but still..
Maybe add some variation and decals?
