For screenshots bump the graphics to the max and turn on AA

Did you do a gameplay pass? I see that you're going to add a sewer section. Have you tested the timings, choke points and so on?

squishy speaks great wisdom. I thought your windowed-mode aliased screenies were just for WIPs in the thread on TWHL - not for presentation!

Also, the sewer section is not a good idea. I don't want to put Striker down, but it'd be a nightmare for both gameplay and optimisation which you're already worried about. The sewer he designed might have fit the gmod map he originally made it for, but it's so completely out of place in CSS...

Radar looks a bit too bright as well.

I would also make sure that all the buildings' textures are stretched properly. Some of the buildings (the brick building in front of the tall building, possibly the one to the right of it, and the building with the satellite dishes) seem to have windows getting cut off at the corners.

Also, when you're taking screenshots, I would recommend removing the HUD elements (cl_drawhud 0).

Thank you for the input sirs, agree on all points and ya, that misaligned building texture has been escaping my edits but it's finally fixed, and will be in the next new version. I will do my best to implement all your recommendations asap.

BTW regarding AA, do you mean turn it up to the maximum, i.e. 16? (i think my aa is set to 4 or 6, or whatever is recommended with the *)

Also, sewer is cancelled for the forseeable future i agree it's just not tenable at this point, unfortunately.

Reuploaded with hdr/ldr final compile, i'm suprised you didn't call me on that as well Arch! <runs away> ;)

Check your graphics card's forced global settings because you ain't got any AA. It looks like you're running the game on absolute lowest settings. If you're running it straight out of a Hammer compile, the graphics settings are also forced down.

Compare these:

Look at the cable & the way textures are rendered over distance etc.

all the recommended settigs are to "high" in options, but now since you mentioned my graphics card i now remember what i did to cause this.

Last time i updated/configured my nvidia, i think i set something to performance mode. could that be what is fraqing up the AA? (one way to find out) ;)
