DE_SOUQ

Postby cincinnati on Tue May 28, 2013 7:19 pm

hi interlopers

while a couple of versions of this have quietly been on the workshop since february, i'm making the rounds now to formally announce SOUQ in its newest incarnation, which i think is finally worthy of advertisement. i hope you'll subscribe and check it out on the workshop
there are 32 spawn points, though it was built with 16-24 player gameplay in mind.
i'm generally satisfied with the larger-scaled layout, but small gameplay details are still subject to change
lots of custom textures and props.

VISIT IT HERE

thanks, everybody.

From the first look it seems both very well designed and composed. I like how you used the details to break up walls, like small windows and ac units. I can't comment on the gameplay yet, but what I see I like :smt045

That little alley scene in the second picture makes me moist.

The map looks visually superb. Good work buddy.

I love the skybox. Especially since it can be used in the map as a land mark even though it's not even in the map. Well done, looks very detailed.

thanks guys.

if you like what you see, subscriptions, favorites, and rankings are much appreciated. though there's been increased activity on the workshop page with this update to the map, the workshop doesn't seem geared toward giving updates any added visibility when they happen.

shine on, interlopers!

hello again, interlopers.
i've got the final version of this in a NEW workshop entry here. would greatly appreciate your subsscriptions, ratings, and, if you see fit, favorites.

there's a ton(ne) of custom content in the map. feel free to use it... just point to the map in your credits.

Amazing work!

But I have to ask, the first screenshot in your last post, how did you acheive the light effect on the ceiling? A selfilluminated overlay or a projectedtexture?
