This map is based on the atmosphere and design of a real powcamp. The design is completely original meaning that is not based on other maps or a remake of any other powcamp maps. I will be submitting this map to valve for the HL2DM Competition. Hope you like it.

Looks just like the screen shots in Under Construction???? You did not even adjust the textures on your shacks, or do anything to improve your map that anyone suggested????

Some points for you buddy:

1. I did some changes to the shacks and if you would be so kind to download the file and check it out, you would see them.

2. The changes were not too big to require new screenshots since the map was almost finished when i released the first screenshots.

3. POW camps are not specially known for their special decor and attention to individuality on the prisioner shacks. Often the desing is simple and repetitive since they are built out of the same materials and same design. Look at some photos from POW camps and you'll see what I mean.

OK, for tard number 2. HE DID NOT have to get new screen shots, maybe he does have a life, I agree. All he had to say was that those were not updated screen shots that he only had from his beta. A couple of words at most. He submitted these pics in the under construction forum and asked for feedback. Then posted here, with nothing different in the screen shots, only saying that he was releasing his map. It appeard he did not take our feedback and posted anyway, which I feel is a slap in the face for EVERYONE that offerred feedback. AS ANY person here will tell you if the screen shots look like crap then one is going to download your map. ALL I DID was ask him a question and he jumpped on me for asking. ALL HE HAD to say was yes there where the same screen shots and yes he did make the suggested improvements. SO FU AND STFU and butt out next time.

Well I take it that part back. It was uncalled for. I don't normally say that to others but I was just a little angery that people where taking his side over nothing. I was mostly stooping to navs level of name calling "Your a real fucking ass.." When you wage war with idiots you have to come down to their level sometimes. 2. see 2. Plus if the changes are not the big to be noticed why did you even post it in under construction? Again I feel insulted. You asked for our opinions and ignored us and you basically still have the same map.

3. Yes, I agree most housing was cookie cutter prefab looking stuff. But not one used the same piece of wood, hence different grain patterns, UNLIKE yours. While they may look same from far away, upclose each building is unique, breaks, dirt, disrepair, and usage. It just show me that your willing to settle for 2nd rate by just coping and pasting. Your map looks repeative and bland(no mood), as anyone here will tell you it a bad thing.

Slayera, I gotta tell you, I believe were fighting for nothing. Of all the posts that I've read on the Internet yours is the one that caught my attention the most, mainly because you called my map a cookie-cutter job. I dont mind criticism because thats the reason why I posted the map for evaluation in the first place. I was annouyed however by the cookie-cutter job remark because every piece in that map is original and made them with hard work and a lot of hours.

And after all that you said about my map, you know what I did... I went back to it and made some changes to the shacks. They were not huge changes but in general it made the map better. When I released the map, I was in a hurry because im leaving for a family trip today and I decided that since the screenshot was from a bit far away people wouldn't notice the changes anyway. So I left THAT screenshot the way it was ( I changed others ).

If the fact that I didn't change the pic pisses you off, then I appologize. I encourage you to download the map and try it out. Its a fun map and you contributed to its tweeking.
